"A Salute to Veterans" is a FREE festival and concert open to everyone of all ages! Bring everyone you know, find a spot, and hang out for the day.

Chairs &

Blankets

We have live music all day, so bring your lawn chairs and blankets to get comfy and stay while. Several great musicians will preform throughout the day ranging from country to blues & rock.

An Appetite!

There will be food and drinks available for purchase at the festival thanks to our great sponsors, Gus's Fried Chicken, Shinerbock, Elevado Beverages, & Surplus Americans!

Your Wallet

The Festival & Concert is a FREE fundraising event to support local programs for veterans and their families. There will be a silent auction, raffles, door prizes, craft vendors, and so much more!

What to leave at home?

Weapons

This is an event to honor all veterans who have served our country, no need to bring weapons of any kind. The event will have dedicated security officers posted to ensure attendees safety!

Alcoholic Beverages

Outside alcoholic beverages and coolers will not be permitted at the festival. Beer, Cocktails-in-a-Can, and Non-alcoholic Beverages will be available for purchase on site.

Smoking &

Vaping

Plaza Park is managed by San Marcos Parks & Rec, and "A Salute to Veterans" must adhere to all park rules including no smoking or e-cigarettes/inhaled vapor devices.

Glass or

Styrofoam

Plaza Park is managed by San Marcos Parks & Rec, and "A Salute to Veterans" must adhere to all park rules including no glass or styrofoam containers.

FAQ's

Parking

We ask our attendees to utilize parking available at a public lot located near the San Marcos Lions Club (it’s just a short walk away) or public spaces available on the street surrounding Plaza Park.

Handicap spaces are available on a first come, first serve basis near the Plaza Park Stage. Must have a permit to park.

If you choose to park elsewhere, we highly encourage guests to follow all posted parking policies including whether the lot you choose is free or paid. Please be respectful of surrounding businesses and do not park in areas which are labeled private property with towing enforced.

Artists, vendors, volunteers, & sponsors – please contact your "A Salute to Veterans" representative or speak with a team member for parking information.

Furry

Friends

We love seeing our local pets at the event. Feel free to bring your furry friends with you to the concert – just make sure they are on a leash and stay with you at all times!

Inclement

Weather

The show must go on! "A Salute to Veterans" will continue all scheduled programming excluding any acts of God or Park closure; Dress accordingly!

Restrooms

Porta-potties will be available onsite with a hand-washing station.

Re-Entry

Entry to the event is completely free! Feel free to check out everything else the San Marcos Square has to offer and come and go as you please.
